Susie Hunt Moran serves as Principal Broker for Moran Homes, Portland-based real estate team made up of a diverse and tenacious group with a combined 25 years of experience. Susie leads the charge alongside her nephew and business partner, Matt Moran.
After playing Division 1 tennis at University of Oregon, Susie worked as a tennis pro at multiple clubs across the country. The job brought together her devotion to the game and love of working with people, but wasn’t the right path as she raised her two daughters, Molly and Megan. 14 years ago she found her passion in real estate, where she could use her competitive spirit in negotiations and expertise in coaching to take her clients through the home buying and selling process. Aside from her attention to
detail and technical knowledge in real estate, it is Susie’s unique and deep appreciation for the city of Portland that sets her apart. She thrives when showing off the period details in a classic Portland craftsman or sharing the latest list of restaurant openings with her clients. Her insights on the city’s growth and the market at large ensures her clients reach their full potential when it comes to their real estate goals - whether that means selling at top dollar or getting the best price when purchasing.

I received a BA from The University of Oregon, GO DUCKS!! I followed my passion in my first career, I was a Full Time Tennis Professional for 15 years. Interesting enough teaching tennis and selling Real Estate have many correlations. Both from the competitive side of things as well as the ability to coach a buyer or seller through the process of finding a home or getting their home sold. My education didn't end in the classroom, or on the tennis court, I continue to educate myself daily in the ever-changing Real Estate Market here in Portland Oregon.

Matt entered the world of real estate just 10 years ago, and today leads the Top Producing team, Moran Homes, alongside his aunt and business partner, Susie Hunt Moran. Once called “the Swiss army watch of real estate agents”, Matt takes pride in his attention to detail throughout the entire home buying and selling experience. His honest personality, real estate know-how, and persistent negotiating skills are what make him a trusted advisor and friend to his clients, allowing them to feel at ease through the entire process. Between years of captaining a commercial fishing vessel and time teaching skiing in Europe, Matt brings a distinct perspective to his team and clients - one that sees the potential in every opportunity and supports the best interest of those around him.
Matt is an avid outdoorsman. When not working with clients, you’ll find him on the slopes with his wife and daughters or enjoying the Northwest on a bike or kiteboard with family and friends. Matt is an Oregon Native and is passionate about helping his clients open the door to their new adventure.
Jamie is an Oregonian and a Portland native through and through, which gives her clients the benefit of her deep knowledge of the Rose City’s neighborhoods and surrounding areas.
She graduated from University of Oregon where she gained her knowledge in communications, marketing and technology - a few of the best skills she brings to her career today. Soon after, she came home to Portland where she now resides with her partner in the Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood. Jamie’s clients have said many times that they love working with her because of her integrity and fierce advocacy for them. She doesn’t shy away from tough conversations and takes pride in her consultative approach with clients.
Her experience in real estate started personally as she DIYd her way through her own homes. Working through the buying and selling process, she quickly fell in love with home ownership and discovered her passion for the industry and desire to help others achieve their own home ownership goals.
Jamie prides herself in her constant desire to master the industry and is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®).You will find her at every seminar, collaborative meeting, and educational opportunity to make sure she is up-to-date on the market and it’s trends. Her previous experience in wine sales has given her a unique approach to the selling process, and has equipped her with top-notch negotiating skills. She works alongside the entire Moran Homes team to provide an all-inclusive package for her clients - ensuring that she guides them through a smooth and enjoyable real estate experience.
When she’s not out touring homes or working with clients, you can find Jamie at her neighborhood coffee shop, walking her boisterous tiny dog, or taking a Bikram yoga class. Her Oregon roots and past career have given her a deep appreciation for all that the state has to offer, from the Willamette Valley’s Pinot Noirs to Columbia Gorge ciders, and she absolutely loves sharing that with her clients. Josh Velasquez relocated to Portland in 2016, set his roots, and found a new home in the Pacific Northwest. Real estate was an important part of his life growing up, as his family invested in properties across the Los Angeles area. He saw the pride and joy that came from his parents owning a home which is what inspired him to become a Real Estate agent. Josh brings a diverse lineup of skills to our team. He comes with over 10 years of customer service experience, he is fluent in Spanish, and has a keen perspective of the city as he is what some call a “California-transplant”. His experience from hospitality
management and degree in Business Administration makes for the perfect combination as the new Project Manager at Moran Homes. The can-do work ethic and caring personality that Josh brings to the table is ideal to provide his clients a full-service real estate experience.
